Walking Service

Will I meet meet you first?
Yes of course – we always insist on meeting all of our clients face to face before we work with them. We offer a free in-home consultation with you and your dog.

How many dogs are walked at any one time?
Your dog may in a small group of up to 2-6 well behaved, sociable dogs.

Do you arrange picking up and dropping off the dogs?
Yes. We cover all areas of Ellesmere Port (CH65 and CH66 postcodes)

Do I need to be home when you collect or drop off my dog?
No. It is of course your choice, but we are fully insured to hold a key and will pick up & drop off your dog whilst you are out.

Will my dog be supervised at all times?
Yes, always.

Where do you walk?
We vary our routes on a daily basis, but in general we walk around Great Sutton, Little Sutton, Ellesmere Port, Chester, Wirral. Our favourite local country parks are Countess Of Chester, Eastham Woods, Rivacre Valley, sometimes even further afield.

What happens if my dog doesn’t get on with another dog?
We always introduce all of the dogs we walk very carefully in a safe place to do so. We also ‘vet’ all of the dogs we care for to ensure that their temperament is suitable for social walking. If however, in exceptional cases, your dog does not get along with the other dogs in the group then well unfortunately will not be able to walk him/her socially. We do also offer solo walks for those dogs that require 1-2-1 attention.

I only require occasional walks for my dog, not every week or every day, can you help?

Yes of course. It’s always best to book us as far in advance as possible. Please give us a call on 07717 435471 or email at emma@godogs.co.uk to enquire.

What happens in bad weather?
We get wet!! We will still go out whatever the weather – the dogs don’t mind and neither do we! If your dog likes to wear a coat then just leave it out for us. It’s also very handy if you are able to leave a clean dry towel out for us to give them a rub down before we hand them back. If of course the weather is dangerously bad, or your dog really doesn’t like bad weather, walks may be cancelled.

Do you walk dogs off the lead?

Only with your permission and only in a safe environment where they are away from roads and other hazards.

When are you available to walk my dog?
We arrange our daily group dog walks between the hours of 9-5pm Mon-Fri.
Individual walks can be arranged outside of these hours to suit your needs but may incur additional charges – please call to discuss on 07717 435471.
